What is the Twin Channel Machine?
Installed beside the cooling bed’s entry points, the Twin Channel machine gets rebars from the dividing shears and channels these securely into the cooling zone. It comprises two carefully timed, hydraulically controlled flaps that open only when a full bar has entered. The bar is then dropped neatly into the rake-style cooling bed, riding along fixed and moving rakes to the mill run-out table.
This mechanism ensures production keeps flowing smoothly and effortlessly, safely even at high finishing speeds up to 21 m/s, producing up to 20MT/ hr of rebards without compromising on alignment or product integrity.
